Funny story: Hennessey and I were in the bath together a week or so ago. My back is to the door, and she’s facing me in my lap. I start asking her questions like “Hennessey, where are your eyes?” She hesitates a second and then puts her hands over her eyes. So I ask another one, “Hennessey, where are your ears?” and she puts her fingers in her ears! I’m pretty amazed, we haven’t really played this game much…so I decide to see what else she can do. Hennessey, where is your nose? (finger goes in the nose). Where is your mouth? (she sticks out her tongue and puts her finger on it!). Finally, I decide the true test… “Hennessey, where is your belly button?” And ever so slyly, she looks just behind me, waits, and then puts her hands on her tummy. I follow her eyes, and lo and behold…..
CHEATERS!
Tailynn had been standing in the door way the ENTIRE time, feeding her the answers! I was cracking up, and then they both started laughing, too. Way to pull a fast one on mommy, girls.

12/28/09 – No teeth and no crawling! She is utterly adorable and is loving her Christmas toys. She adores her big sister, and wants to play with whatever Tailynn has (much to Tailynn’s disappointment).

Hennessey can now wave! She did her first wave on 12/4/09! She’s also giving the occasional high-five (12/18/09)!

Hennessey hit a milestone. Her very last night sleeping with a binkie was on 12/3/09! No more binkies to remember to take everywhere! Yay!!!
No teeth or crawling yet. She wants to stand. A lot. And she is getting into food more and more. Sweet potato (or YAMS if you are going to get THAT fussy about the proper name…)is still her favorite! She likes peas, mashed potatoes, french fries, apple sauce, and graham crackers, too.

Hennessey is growing like a little weed!
She turned six months old on September 21, and on September 24th, rolled over for the first time (on flat ground) from her tummy to her back! She’s been doing it a lot since then, which is great…but still won’t let me get it on tape. Hopefully soon!!
Still no teeth as of 9/26/09, but we think it’ll happen soon. She isn’t really interested in solids yet, but that’s fine by us!
She is a sweaty little baby, that’s for sure! I never thought a baby could produce so much sweat!! Thankfully she likes it warm, so it works out.
We still don’t sleep all night yet, but we aren’t up so often that anyone is suffering too badly.
